¿Autodeterminación o explotación? Una contribución al debate feminista sobre la gestación por sustitución

Resumen
Dentro del feminismo no existe una postura unificada sobre la gestación por sustitución (GS). El desacuerdo feminista generalmente se traduce en un debate entre la defensa de la autonomía y la protección de la explotación y la opresión. Esta fórmula, sin embargo, oscurece el marco común feminista del debate, dentro del cual limitar la opresión y promover la autonomía de las mujeres deberían considerarse objetivos compartidos. Avanzaré el debate analizando estos objetivos compartidos apelando a la bibliografía contemporánea sobre autonomía personal. Argumentaré que los modelos de autonomía presupuestos por quienes defienden la GS como una forma de autodeterminación enmascaran formas de opresión relevantes en contextos contemporáneos y que solo adoptando una concepción particular de la autonomía es que las propuestas feministas contrarias a la GS pueden verse como hostiles a la autonomía. Reflexionar y legislar sobre la GS, concluyo, requiere de modelos de autonomía sensibles a distintas formas de opresión.
